to USS Liberty Veterans Association
Gentlemen:
Thank you for your great thoughtfulness in sending me a copy of ASSAULT
ON THE LIBERTY. Although my eyesight is so poor that I can no longer
read, I hope that my good wife will be able to read it to me.
I have high regard and great respect for the fine men who manned the
Liberty.
I appreciate the difficulty you have encountered in presenting this
event to the public. I admire your dedicated efforts to assure that this
incident is not forgotten.
