The liberties we enjoy as citizens of this nation were won at immense cost. Americans owe a lasting debt of gratitude to the crew of USS LIBERTY and to all of our veterans. I congratulate each of you, including those who are present only in spirit, on your brave service in defense of our nation and the cause of freedom. Best wishes for a memorable reunion.
