This is a photo that I took of Larry Hayden. We were in a barracks at Norfolk waiting for the ship to come in to port. We had just been assigned to the Liberty. We spent a few weeks together, and got to be friends. Dave Miller was with us, and a few others, but I don't know their names.
As I remember, Larry was very interested in magic. Whenever we had early liberty from the ship, after a duty day we would go into Norfolk and visit magic shops. He was a great guy.
